PILEJE, THE FOUNDER OF MICRONUTRITION, A MEDICAL DISCIPLINE OF THE FUTURE

PiLeJe is a French laboratory specialized in nutritional food supplements and dietetic food products. It was founded in 1990 by doctors who were aware of the role of diet in maintaining good health, enhancing well-being and restoring quality of life.

Micronutrition consists of satisfying the individual’s needs for micronutrients by nutritional advice plus, if necessary, the provision of complements.

Micronutrition is a response to the aims of public health nutritional policy in France and in Europe.

PiLeJe has developed a wide range of nutritional food supplements and dietetic food products to provide a specific response to all physiological situations and all nutritional needs.

The Company’s products can be recommended by health-care professionals in response to nutritional deficiencies for which diet alone cannot always compensate. The nutritional food supplements and dietetic food products from PiLeJe are able to complement diet, but are no substitute for a good diet.

PiLeJe proposes a nutritional and individual-based approach to health.

PiLeJe is involved in a special partnership with the Institut Européen de Diététique et de Micronutrition (IEDM) [The European Institute for Diet and Micronutrition], which provides medical training and designs diagnostic tools.

PiLeJe has a scientific department consisting of research scientists, engineers and medical biologists, and works with state-run laboratories in formulating and developing effective products.

PiLeJe combines scientific innovation with rigorous compliance with French and European regulations.

PiLeJe products, derived from Micronutrition Research, meet five criteria:
• formulations devised after taking on board the complexity of physiological mechanisms
• innovation by selecting active ingredients most of which are of natural origin
• using ingredients of which the efficacy and safety have been tested and demonstrated in the laboratory
• bioavailability, i.e. the body is able to make optimal use of them
